Heidelberg markets two Kawahara offline plate separators

Kawahara TXS-1100

These Kawahara off-line systems are designed for paper and board packaging and printing and for IML films.

After launching a new generation of the CutStar wide-web diecutter and new options for in-mold label production on the Speedmaster XL 106 last summer, Heidelberg is further expanding its offering for packaging production.

The German manufacturer has just signed a distribution agreement with the Japanese company AN Corporation: Heidelberg now offers two offline blank separator systems, the Kawahara TXS-1100 and the Kawahara BMS-1100. These machines are used to separate die-cut forms from printed cards and films.

The Kawahara TXS-1100 with its 1092 mm x 800 mm worktable is designed for in-mold label converting and paper and cardboard packaging and shapes. It can handle almost any shape, and it is also possible to combine different shapes on the same sheet.
The BMS-1100 model for the same size is reserved for paper and cardboard sheets.

It takes less than 15 minutes to set up a job on these Kawahara systems.
The TXS-1100 separates a stack of 1,000 IML sheets in 1.5 to 2 minutes.
The BMS-1100 processes up to 20 individual stacks of packages per minute.

"The new Kawahara TXS-1100 is a high performance system with improved components and an innovative feed and discharge system. It is ideal for the in-mold label market and has proven to be an outstanding separation solution for this difficult-to-handle label material says Markus Höfer, Head of Business Development at Heidelberg. The Kawahara BMS-1100 offers a great value for folding carton printers looking to automate this finishing step."

On April 25, 2022, Heidelberg and its subsidiary Gallus will welcome printers and converters to the Print Media Center at the company's headquarters in Wiesloch-Walldorf, Germany, for Label Day. One of the solutions on display will be a complete IML production line consisting of the Speedmaster XL 106 press, Speedmaster XL 106-D rotary diecutter and Kawahara TXS-1100 offline separation station.
