Canon strengthens label and packaging business with acquisition of Edale

With the acquisition of the British company Edale, the Japanese manufacturer Canon continues its strategy to offer turnkey solutions to the label and packaging industry.

Canon and its subsidiary Canon Production Printing today announced the purchase of British packaging converting equipment manufacturer Edale.

Edale designs and manufactures printing and converting solutions for the label and packaging industry, such as digital, flexo, gravure and hybrid presses, board and label production lines, flatbed diecutters and finishing equipment.
The company, which exports 75% of its products, works as an OEM with various manufacturers. In particular, it has been working with Canon since 2018, supplying it with web transport, conventional printing and finishing modules for the labelStream 4000 UV inkjet press range .
