Fespa 2022: for Canon "be bold and ambitious!"

Canon will be exhibiting many machines, including some new ones, as well as a complete production line and a store recreated for the occasion.

"The greater the impact, the greater the value." At the Fespa trade show, which will be held from May 31 to June 3, 2022 in Berlin, Canon, under the banner "Make It BIG", promises to help print professionals develop their business by making the most of the new possibilities of large format. On its booth, the manufacturer will present numerous technologies as well as a complete production line. And Canon has several new products in store that it will not reveal until the show opens.

He explains: "We are now seeing an increasing number of our customers and prospects seize new opportunities in the large format graphic arts industry by opening up to new revenue streams, new applications and more efficient ways of working to compensate for the decline in volumes experienced during the pandemic.

We take this opportunity to showcase our full range of technologies. We offer printers adapted to all budgets and printing operations of all sizes.

A production line, many machines, a small recreated store

To demonstrate to printers how to make their applications even more impactful, Canon will implement the UVgel Wallpaper Factory a fully automated total solution for wall coverings, from ordering to final delivery.
The printing machine of this production line is the roll-to-roll printer Colorado 1650 with UVgel printing technology that "combines excellent quality, high productivity and extensive versatility in a single printer with low total cost of ownership."

A retail trade will be recreated to showcase the achievements made possible with this complete printing line such as packaging, POP, interior decorations and promotional posters.

Visitors will also be able to discover the roll-to-roll model Colorado 1630 . Large format printers "very versatile" according to Canon, the Colorado can be used for a variety of applications, such as wallpaper, adhesives and backlit signage.

The printer imagePrograf TZ-30000 will also be on display. It is designed for fast production of posters, CAD/GIS drawings, renderings and maps on plain and coated light weight paper.
L' imagePrograf GP-4000 of 44 inches will also be available. With 11 colors, this printer is "the world's first large format printer with pigmented fluorescent aqueous inks".

Canon will also present the Arizona 2380 XTF with IJC358 UV curable inks. This printer can work with demanding media such as cardboard, wood or glass.

Also to be discovered on the stand of its neighbor and partner, Farben-Frikell, the entry-level UV led flatbed table Arizona 135 GT . It is designed for print professionals looking to move into large format flatbed applications, such as point-of-purchase visual communication, short-run packaging, outdoor visual communication and backlit signage.
"The only printer in its segment with a field-upgradeable roll media option, it can also produce tactile prints on a wide range of rigid and flexible media." says Canon.
