Fespa 2022: six printers previewed at Fujifilm

Visitors to the German trade show will be able to see two new roll-to-roll printers and two new flatbed printers from Fujifilm.

For its first appearance at a major trade show in two years, Fujifilm is planning to make its mark. At Fespa 2022 (May 31 to June 3 in Berlin, Germany), the Japanese manufacturer will exhibit under the Blueprint Live banner no less than six new machines, never before presented to the public.

Among these new products, several are part of a new UV inkjet range: the Acuity Prime and the Acuity Ultra R2. This new Acuity "redefines the price-performance ratio and revolutionizes the return on investment of printing" assures Fujifilm.

"In these complicated times for the market, Fujifilm has set out to deliver a completely new range of printers that aim to be the new standard for large format printing, says David Burton, Fujifilm Wide Format Inkjet Systems Sales Manager. With its Blueprint Live event, Fujifilm intends to showcase its vision at Fespa 2022 and introduce printers to brand new printers designed to help them meet the changing needs of their customers."

Two Acuity Ultra R2 roll-to-roll printers to discover in demonstration...

The Acuity Ultra R2 is a roll-to-roll printer that comes in two versions: 5 and 3.2 m wide. The Acuity Ultra R2 is also available in different color configurations up to eight channels and can be equipped with UV curing or UV led curing for six colors + white.

"This allows the customer to choose the incredibly high productivity of conventional UV or the comparatively lower operating costs and reduced energy consumption of led UV." says the manufacturer.

Visitors will be able to see a demonstration of the two models and the two types of drying: the Acuity Ultra R2 in 5 m which will use conventional UV inks, and the Acuity Ultra R2 in 3.2 m which will operate in UV led drying mode.

... and the Acuity Prime 20 and Acuity Prime 30 flatbed tables

The Acuity Prime is a table with a printing area of 2.54 x 1.27 m that handles a wide variety of flexible and rigid media up to 51 mm thick with its Uvijet HM ink system. Two models with different speeds and channel configurations are available: the Acuity Prime 20 and the Acuity Prime 30.
The Acuity Prime can also apply an adhesion enhancing primer to particularly difficult substrates, eliminating the need for off-line substrate pre-treatment.

Numerous features enhance the machine's practicality, such as its media loading cleats, which can be implemented with the touch of a button, or the five-part media zone system that reduces the amount of masking required.

The Acuity Prime 20 is configurable from 4 to 6 ink channels and the Acuity Prime 30 from 4 to 7 channels.
At the show, visitors will be able to see these two models in demonstration.

We will have to wait for the opening of the show to discover the two other new products from Fujifilm.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors to our Fujifilm booth, carried by our Blueprint Live event, so they can experience the power of Acuity printers for themselves." adds David Burton.
