Printing ink manufacturer Siegwerk is offering a new series of nitrocellulose (NC) inks for flexible packaging applications. This is the first ink series for flexible packaging printing manufactured in Siegburg, Germany at the group's headquarters.
The new NC ink series, which includes colors and coatings, is designed for gravure and flexo printing of all types of flexible packaging.
"Compared to previous generations, our new series offers expanded functionality, exceptional quality consistency and optimized rheological properties, which significantly improves print results and efficiency." says Björn Ewig, head of Flexible Packaging EMEA.
The new formulation is also well suited for Extended Color Gamut printing.
The new series is produced at the group's main site in Siegburg, Germany. The plant has benefited from major investments in recent years, particularly in automation. Today, the Siegburg site is the largest production facility for printing inks in Europe according to Siegwerk.
