A first in the UK
Mercian Labels (Burntwood, UK) is introducing the highly automated SCREEN L350 SAI E UV inkjet printer to its fleet, with the aim of improving competitiveness and responsiveness. This investment marks the first installation of this type of SCREEN Truepress printer in the UK.
The production rate of the SCREEN L350 SAI E UV inkjet printer is 60 meters/minute at maximum speed and has a printing surface of 330 mm. Reliable and robust, it reproduces the colors faithfully with a great stability on the long series or the removals. " The SAI E may have one less color than the SAI S with its six colors, but we were very impressed with the wide gamut offered by its new ink set "Dr. Adrian Steele, Managing Director of Mercian Labels, confirms.
And the Japanese technology brought to SCREEN's SAI line also heralds various benefits:
- high color fastness ;
- scalable technology;
- low migration inks ;
- great flexibility through its many options, etc.
High level of automation
" For us, large-scale automation was a prerequisite, since we owe our customers' loyalty to our speed and service. (...) Our customers know us for our ability and determination to complete a job in the best time in the industry, so even the smallest gain in this area is very important. "Dr. Steele continues. With no cleanup required between jobs, this eliminates the need to change and reset the machine to speed up production.
