Auraprint-X changes hands, 30 jobs retained

On June 3, the Commercial Court of Le Puy-en-Velay validated the takeover bid submitted by Isère-based Icrea. The Auraprint-X, Reboul and IAG printing plants have been taken over and will be relocated to Saint-Étienne.

After months of uncertainty, the decision has been made. On Tuesday June 3, the Commercial Court of Le Puy-en-Velay in Haute-Loire designated Icrea, a group headed by Rémi Courand, as the buyer of Auraprint-X, Reboul and Imprimerie des Arts Graphiques (IAG). This decision puts an end to the reorganization procedure begun last October for these companies, which have formed a scop under the name Auraprint-X.

Two candidates were in the running: Icrea and the Sprint group. The latter proposed a larger-scale takeover in terms of jobs retained, but Icrea's plan was deemed more financially sound and also had the support of the majority of employees, reports La Commère 43 . Thirty positions will be maintained.

Icrea, which also includes Imprimerie Courand et associés (Ica) in Isère, plans to consolidate its activities at Reboul, in Saint-Étienne, Loire. This site had already been home to the majority of the workforce for several months.

And the new owner also owns the Sud Offset printing plant in La Ricamarie, just a few kilometers from this site, acquired in February 2024. Icrea is considering a long-term merger between these two structures, according to the company La Commère 43 .

Icrea's recovery plan auraprint-X's Production Director, Lucas Vanden, will continue to hold a 10% stake in the new entity.
