Backings produced at the Condat paper mill

After launching its new range of liners nearly a year ago, Lecta is launching a new reference manufactured in its French factory.

Begun in 2019, the transformation of the Condat paper mill, located in Le Lardin-Saint-Lazare in the Dordogne, continues. After an investment of more than 80 million euros the plant of the Spanish group Lecta, which had been producing only coated paper, converted one of its production lines to the manufacture of backings.

A new supercalender has been installed and should position the French site as "one of the most modern paper centers in Europe, in terms of efficiency and respect for the environment" according to the group.

The Condat plant is now the manufacturer of the Linerset range of liners. Launched in July 2021, this new range of products is intended for siliconized paper converters as well as label manufacturers and converters.

It consists of Linerset CCK and Linerset CCK Duo, and now Linerset Glassine, a supercalendered paper for siliconizing. Linerset Glassine is available in yellow and white (Linerset Glassine Y and Linerset Glassine W) and in weights from 45 to 78 g/m 2 for self-adhesive label applications.

Other non-stick coatings will soon be added to the production of the Perigord plant, with the launch of Linerset Glassine Duo and Linerset SCK (Supercalendered Kraft).
