At the end of May, Japanese inkjet printer manufacturer Fujifilm signed the acquisition of Unigraphica, based in Ruggell, Liechtenstein. Founded in 1985, Unigraphica is an integrator of inkjet printing and finishing systems for industrial and security productions. As of July 1, the company will become a subsidiary of Fujifilm and will be named Fujifilm Unigraphica.
With this acquisition, Fujifilm aims to strengthen the position in Europe of its Fujifilm Integrated Inkjet Solutions division, which is dedicated to solutions for high-volume production in commercial printing, special packaging and industry through the integration of inkjet printing systems.
Established in June 2021, the Fujifilm Integrated Inkjet Solutions division began operations as a supplier of custom inkjet systems for U.S. brands. It then expanded to other regions, such as Europe and Japan, as well as other markets, such as commercial printing.
"Fujifilm's inkjet technologies and products, coupled with Unigraphica's experience and integration capabilities will provide customers with state-of-the-art solutions and support services." says the Japanese manufacturer.
