Durst's P5 Sublifix dye sublimation inks are Eco Passport certified

Durst's new direct-to-textile printing technology is certified safe for human health and the environment.

Durst's P5 Sublifix dye sublimation inks are now Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Eco Passport certified. This means that products printed with this process, such as decorative fabrics, flags or lightbox displays, are guaranteed to be safe for human health and the environment.

Oeko-Tex is an independent Swiss certification body for chemicals, dyes and auxiliaries used in the textile and leather industry that analyzes each of their ingredients. "Oeko-Tex Standard 100 compliance of sublimation inks has always been very important to Durst." says the Italian manufacturer.

Designed for the P5 Tex iSUB printer launched last year, the P5 Sublifix eight-color dye-sublimation ink set - CMYK, Cl, Ml, O and blue - allows direct printing on polyester, eliminating the drying step from the production process.
This technology, which won a European Digital Press Association (EDP) award in 2022, also allows printing on transfer papers.
Durst estimates energy savings of up to 50% compared to a traditional process, such as a heat press.
