The P5 Tex iSub, Durst's large format dye sublimation printer

This 3.3 meter wide machine allows direct printing on polyester as well as transfer printing.

Italian digital printing systems manufacturer Durst is launching the P5 TEX iSub, a sublimation printing machine (iSub stands for Inline Sublimation). This printer of 3,3 m of width CMYK (in option in Cl, Ml, O and blue) allows the direct printing on the polyester fabrics.

"There is no need to invest or provide space for a grille, says Andrea Riccardi, head of product management at Durst. Durst's iSub P5 TEX is controlled by a single operator. The speed of the process also increases our customers' ability to deliver."

In addition to direct printing, the P5 TEX iSub also prints transfer papers. "It is precisely the combination of the two processes into one system that offers users tremendous flexibility."

Large format machine reaches speeds of 383 m 2 /hour when the 330 cm print size is fully utilized.
The iSub non-contact printing technology developed with Sublifix inks provides excellent color consistency and crisp detail in images and text, even on difficult substrates such as black-backed fabrics, according to Durst.

The P5 TEX iSub is designed to produce a wide range of media, such as decorative fabrics, flags or lightbox displays.

With the Dualroll option, two rolls up to 1.6 m wide can be printed at the same time. The Durst P5 TEX is also equipped with an integrated finishing unit, which allows for sewing and collating of media.

"The P5 TEX iSub stands for efficiency, quality and productivity at a high level. At Durst, we are confident that our solution for the flexible signage market will allow us to give new impetus to this market." says Christian Harder, Durst's vice president of sales.

The machine is now available for order and the first deliveries will start in June.
