Canon adds cutting tables to its offer

Four cutting tables of the Colex brand are now distributed by Canon in France.

Canon France now offers cutting systems, Sharpcut, thanks to its new partnership with the American manufacturer Colex.

Founded in 1972, Colex originally specialized in manufacturing processors for the photographic industry. In 1985, the company entered the graphic arts market by becoming the exclusive North American reseller of the Fotoba brand of finishing equipment. In 2008, Colex launched its Sharpcut cutting products.
Today, the manufacturer claims to have more than 1000 Sharpcut machines installed worldwide.

The Colex Sharpcut can cut and die-cut, but also mill, fold and crease rigid and flexible materials such as paper, cardboard, foam board, Dibond, acrylic panel, textile, vinyl, tarpaulin, aluminum, PVC or PET.

Sharpcut digital cutting systems are equipped with a triple interchangeable tool head, including a fixed knife, an oscillating knife and a milling cutter by default. A dozen other tools are available.

The Colex Sharpcut range includes four models of cutting tables with different sizes and speeds: the SXC1717 with 1.7 m x 1.7 m (76 m/min), the SXC1732 with 1.7 m x 3.2 m (122 m/min), the SXC3216 with 3.2 m x 1.6 m (63.5 m/min) and the SXC3232 with 3.2 m x 3.2 m (63.5 m/min)

Canon recommends these machines for stickers, banners, complex lettering, displays and POP, packaging and textiles.
