The new CEO of Fujifilm's piezoelectric printhead division will focus on developing piezoelectric MEMS technology and expanding other lines.

Fujifilm Dimatix, Fujifilm's subsidiary dedicated to the manufacture and supply of piezoelectric inkjet printheads, has a new CEO effective April 1, 2023. Steve Billow has been named president and CEO effective April 1, 2023, following the retirement of Martin Schoeppler, who served in those positions since 2008.

Steve Billow joined Fujifilm Dimatix as president in October 2022. Prior to this appointment, Steve Billow was president of US-based 3D printing company Desktop Metal. He was also vice president and CTO at California-based inkjet manufacturer Efi Inkjet Solutions for eight years and CTO at Jetrion, which was acquired by Efi in 2008, and worked for more than 20 years at Eastman Kodak in various R&D roles.

As CEO of Fujifilm Dimatix, Steve Billow will focus on developing the piezoelectric spray MEMS technology and expanding the other product lines.

"Our MEMS technology is an industry leader in performance and will be further developed to achieve unprecedented inkjet speeds, qualities and productivity." says the new CEO.
Dimatix Starfire SG and Dimatix Samba MEMS printheads "will remain the key drivers of our success as we expand into other industry segments such as the packaging, retail, textile, 3D printing and printed electronics markets." he adds.
