Japanese inkjet printer manufacturer Screen unveils its Truepress PAC830F flexible packaging press. The soon-to-be-released machine combines speed, print quality and compliance for food packaging applications, according to its manufacturer.

The Truepress PAC830F, a CMYK plus white inkjet press, uses water-based, food-safe inks and offers 1,200 dpi resolution. It reaches speeds of 75 m/min (4,500 mph), and prints standard PET and OPP plastic films up to 830 mm wide, ideal for stand-up pouches and flat-bottom pouches.

"While it easily handles mock-up creation, variable data jobs, and other common digital jobs, the Truepress PAC830F is exceptionally responsive in versioning, small quantity jobs, and any print run under 4,000 meters." we can read in the catalog of the Japanese brand.

And Yukiyoshi Tanaka, president and director of the group, says in a statement: "Our new digital printing press is a game changer in the flexible packaging industry, offering a safe, durable, high-speed solution that meets the growing demand for quality and safety in food packaging."

Further technical details and launch dates will be announced at a later date.
