The Fujifilm stand at Fespa dressed in a single day

The printer, GPG Digitaldruck, was able to complete this impressive order thanks to its new press, a 5-meter Acuity Ultra R2.

700 m 2 of visualsâeuros! The Acuity Ultra R2 press from German printer GPG Digitaldruck, which has just been installed, has completed a major order. On this led UV press, GPG Digitaldruck printed the visuals for the Fujifilm stand at Fespa 2023, which took place last May in Munich, Germany.

The print shop's Acuity Ultra R2 5000 has a 5-metre web width and reaches speeds of 400 mph 2 /h and handles substrates from 0.1 to 2 mm thick. The reel-to-reel machine is equipped with a carriage-mounted substrate sensor that automatically determines the position and thickness of the substrate. The water-cooled suction table enables the use of thin, heat-sensitive substrates.

Fujifilm's stand dressing included textile supports with black backgrounds, as well as sheers and iridescent fabrics. All visuals were produced in a single day, "without compromising on quality" says GPG CEO Daniel Gutendorf.
"We own several reel-to-reel printers, but this one is much faster, up to twice as fast as our other 5 m machines," adds the printer. "This is our very first Fujifilm machine. But it certainly won't be our last!"

David Burton, Sales Director of Fujifilm Wide Format Inkjet Systems, adds: " Our Acuity range has been designed to meet our customers' needs for speed, reliability and productivity. The Acuity Ultra R2 proves that it does just that."
