As soon as she arrived the Direct-to-Film printing market, Mimaki has already unveiled its second DTF machine. The TxF150-75, launched earlier this year, is joined by the TxF300-75, which boasts three times higher printing speeds, according to the Japanese manufacturer.
With a print width of 800 mm, the TxF300-75, which will go on sale in Europe from the fourth quarter of 2023, offers 720 DPI and 1440 DPI resolution, as does the TxF150-75 model. It has four ink channels for four-color printing plus four for white, compared with two for the first model.
Film printing technology for textiles is compatible with a wider range of fabrics, such as cotton, blended fabrics, polyester, nylon and dark fabrics. Mimaki's DTF series is thus recommended for garment printing applications such as the production of T-shirts, sportswear, shopping bags and waterproof jackets.
The TxF300-75 uses Mimaki's PHT50 pigmented inks, which are Eco-Passport-certified, guaranteeing reduced environmental impact and meeting the requirements of Oeko-Tex certification, which ensures that production does not contain chemical substances harmful to health.
Mimaki DTF printers feature an integrated ink circulation system designed to prevent white ink clogging, and a degassed ink set that reduces the risk of faulty ink ejection.
To complete the production line, Mimaki recommends the Inline 800 DTF Powder Shaker from Adkins.
