Two new flexo inks from Zeller+Gmelin

The Uvalux led FCM Y581 and Uvalux led non-FCM Y580 series are compatible with the processing units of all major led UV suppliers, and operate "at the highest print speeds".

German printing ink manufacturer Zeller+Gmelin expands its UV led product range with two new ink series dedicated to narrow web flexographic printing: the Uvalux led FCM Y581 series for food contact materials (FCM) and the Uvalux led non-FCM Y580 series.

Uvalux led FCM Y581 and Uvalux led non FCM Y580 inks offer "high quality printing results", and this "at the highest printing speeds" under hybrid, mercury vapor or UV led curing technologies, says Zeller+Gmelin.

A new generation of FCM inks, the Uvalux led FCM Y581 series is designed specifically for UV led curing from all the leading suppliers on the market (with wavelengths of 385 or 395 nm).

This series for food-contact labels complies with the Nestlé standard for printing inks for food packaging (St-80.001, 04/07/2022), the Nestlé Guide to Packaging Inks (October 2018 edition), and Swiss Ordinance 817.023.21 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs. It contains no free bisphenol A or bisphenol A-based raw materials (BPA-NI).
