Komori's J-throne 29 press is now available for demonstration. However, you'll have to go to the Komori Graphic Technology Center (KGC) in Tokyo, Japan. This 29-inch sheetfed UV inkjet press was first unveiled at Drupa 2024 in Germany. With this installation at the KGC, visitors from all over the world will have access to live demonstrations, print tests and technical presentations.
With speeds of up to 6âuros000 sheets/hour for single-sided printing (and 3âuros000 sheets/hour for double-sided printing) and UV LED curing, the J-throne 29 is presented by its manufacturer as the UV inkjet press that offers "the world's highest return on investment thanks to exceptional speed and performance" .
Designed for variable data printing and fast job changeovers, this 585 × 750 press handles a wide range of jobs, from small to large runs.
It also features a "simple and intuitive" interface, and its design limits maintenance, enabling less experienced operators to achieve stable production after on-site training by the Japanese manufacturer.
"The J-throne 29 is a new-generation UV inkjet digital press, designed to optimize productivity and ease of use. Its installation at KGC has enabled us to create an environment where a greater number of customers and industry professionals can see for themselves its high performance." says Naofumi Tamura, Director of Operations and General Manager of the Digital Printing System ( DPS ) Business of Komori.
To mark its arrival at the center, Komori is offering a New Year Open House on February 19 and 20, 2026.
