The two new coating machines will serve the home care, personal care, pharmaceutical and graphics sectors.

Fedrigoni Self-Adhesives continues to invest to increase its production capacity in Europe. The self-adhesive materials design and production division of Italy's Fedrigoni is to install two new acrylic-based adhesive coating stations at its Spanish plants.

The new equipment will arrive at the San Gregori site in the first half of 2024, and at the Barberà del Valles site in the following six months.

These installations, which will be added to the existing ones, are part of a "ambitious growth plan in order to impose "as the partner of choice for brands, printers and converters, and the leading supplier of high-end labelstock in strategic sectors such as home and personal care, pharmaceuticals and graphics."

"2023 was a difficult year: high market volatility combined with customer destocking had a significant impact on our industry, particularly in Europe." comments Fulvio Capussotti, Executive Vice President of Fedrigoni Self-Adhesive. He continues: "Despite this, Fedrigoni is not slowing down its ambitious growth strategy. The two coating machines planned for 2024 will be a fundamental asset in strengthening our market presence and further improving the level of service we guarantee our customers."

At present, Fedrigoni cannot specify the percentage increase in production capacity achieved by these two units.
