The DBM-700, Duplo's new pinning system

Compatible with both digital and offset printing, Duplo's DBM-700 is more versatile and faster than its predecessor.

Duplo launches the Duplo DBM700 binding system, which integrates stapling, folding and trimmer cutting. Compatible with a range of printing technologies, from digital to offset, the Duplo DBM700 is designed for medium- and high-volume production environments for a wide range of applications, such as A4 brochures, catalogs, textbooks and calendars. This finishing system is more versatile and faster than the DBM-600 model it replaces.

The great novelty of the DBM-700 is that it can produce back-to-square-quilt finishes, up to 50 sheets, and can also be equipped with a three-blade cutter.

The Japanese manufacturer has also pushed ahead with automation, particularly of settings and format changes, enabling complex tasks to be simplified. For example, with the three-blade cutter and square-back options, it produces a square-back with the automation of a quilted book, Duplo announces.

With the DBM-700S model, thicker brochures can be produced (up to 10 mm, i.e. 50 sheets of 80 g/m²) 2 or a 200-page booklet against 6 mm or 30 sheets of 80 g/m 2 or 120 pages).

Speed has also increased. The DBM-700 can reach 5,200 booklets per hour, for all paper formats from now on.
