Fujifilm's first Acuity Prime Hybrid installed at Allen Signs in England

This brand-new Fujifilm printer, capable of printing on both rigid and flexible substrates, has enabled the English printer to diversify its range of substrates.

Fujifilm has announced that its first Acuity Prime Hybrid printer has gone into production at Allen Signs, a British printer specializing in automotive signage and decoration. Launched at Fespa 2023 last May, this large-format digital press offers the ability to print on a wide variety of rigid and flexible substrates.

According to David Allen, Managing Director of Allen Signs, the Acuity Prime Hybrid was chosen for its versatility and low ink consumption. This versatility has enabled the company to expand its product range cost-effectively, with notable use for printing on wall coverings, panels and metal surfaces. Matt Ryder, Print Specialist at Allen Signs, adds that no substrate has resisted this machine.

This versatility has enabled the company to print on a wider variety of substrates more efficiently and cost-effectively, explains the executive. In particular, the machine has been used to print on wall coverings, directly on cardboard and on metal surfaces.
And Matt Ryder, print specialist at Allen Signs, adds that he hasn't yet found any media that doesn't work on this machine.

Matt Ryder was also impressed by the ease of use of the printer, which produced perfect prints right from the start of production.

And Andy Kent, Divisional Director at Fujifilm Graphic Communications UK, adds: " By investing in our Acuity Prime Hybrid, Allen Signs benefits from a significant increase in print quality and a reduction in costs, while expanding its range of substrates. Watching them explore new business opportunities is fantastic."
