Flint's Novasens P670 Prime range of inks cuts ink consumption by 10% compared with competing brands.

Luxembourg-based printing ink manufacturer Flint Group launches the Novasens P670 Prime range, a series of low-odour, low-migration (LOLM) CMYK inks formulated to meet the needs of sheetfed offset packaging printers.

Thanks to its higher pigment charge, the Novasens P670 Prime ink set is said by Flint to increase solid board printing efficiency and reduce waste compared with Flint Group's previous LOLM Sheetfed inks.

"Compared with competing brands, our press trials show that a reduction of around 10% in ink consumption can be achieved in CMYK." he adds. What's more, Novasens P670 Prime "offers excellent board compatibility, helping to reduce downtime, while its low fogging improves performance on high-speed presses."

In line with INGEDE's deinking requirements, the ink series complies with several environmental standards and is formulated with 75% renewable raw materials, with no added microplastics. The series complies with standards including FDA, ISEGA, EuPIA, Swiss Ordinance and Dutch Commodities Act.

Emil Schroetter, Sheetfed technology manager for Flint Group offset packaging solutions, adds: "Its unrivalled results whatever the board quality used, its market-leading pigmentation levels and its high performance on high-speed presses guarantee excellent results on several types of press with increased productivity. Most importantly, it features the highest regulatory compliance of any of Flint Group's Sheetfed ink series, with a range of proven environmental benefits."
