Safeguarding jobs and expanding services: Asi Prod integrates Brochage Façonnage Nantais

With the integration of BFN, Asi Prod strengthens its paper converting offer and preserves know-how and jobs.

Following the retirement of its two directors, Bruno and Laure Dutertre, Asi Prod has taken over Brochage Façonnage Nantais (BFN), based in Carquefou, Loire-Atlantique.

Also based in Thouaré-sur-Loire in the Loire-Atlantique region, Asi Prod is an adapted company with four business lines operating on 10 sites and employing 380 people. A producer of pallets, industrial laundry and contract packaging workshops, Asi Prod also offers paper converting services, with a workshop located in Beaucouzé, Maine-et-Loire, near Angers. With BFN, the company now has 11 sites, including two paper converting workshops with 80 employees.

The three BFN positions have been retained, and three people have been recruited - a workshop manager and two internal transfers. In addition, Asi Prod is looking for four additional production agents.

For the love of the job

Anne-Laure Allaire Poilane, Director of Business Development at Asi Prod, underlines the importance of this operation in the current context: "In our western region, a lot of manufacturers have disappeared. This opportunity allows us to save the employees, the customers and the trade. It's a takeover for the love of the trade in a way." And underlines: " We offer paper finishing, but we're not a printer. So we're not in competition with printers," she stresses.

This new project will also enable us to better serve printers in the Greater West of France at one or other of these workshops, limiting our carbon footprint while improving our responsiveness.

Thanks to the machinery and know-how of the Nantes workshop, the company is now able to offer not only laminating, but also Wire'o and PUR binding for larger volumes than those traditionally handled in Angers.
