International Paper's Chalon-sur-Saône site is now producing the E'Wine range of cardboard packaging, specially designed for e-commerce wine sales.

At the VinEquip trade show held in Macon in March, American paper and board packaging manufacturer International Paper unveiled its new E'Wine range for packaging bottles of wine sold online.

With this range, produced at the Chalon-sur-Saône site, International Paper aims to facilitate and ensure shipments of all types of bottle for one, two, three, six or twelve units.

The E'Wine range of packaging is made from a special cardboard that, according to the manufacturer, offers enhanced resistance to impact and abrasion during long-distance shipments.

The boxed version is reserved for one-, two- and three-bottle shipments. The cushioning is integrated for the one-bottle or magnum model, and separate for the two- and three-bottle models. An integrated adhesive strip enables the box to be closed neatly and easily.

The crate version for shipments of six bottles is the quickest: a flat pack to assemble, into which you slide two wedges each containing three bottles. For twelve-bottle packs, simply take two six-bottle cases and slide them into the appropriate packaging.

There's no risk of not being able to dexterously assemble these various boxes and crates, as an assembly diagram is included on the packaging.

Hakim Serhir, Director France at International Paper, explains: "With E'Wine and At One Box, we aim to offer products with a sustainable design, optimized to reduce over-packaging while guaranteeing ideal bottle protection, particularly in the dynamic context of e-commerce
