Fourth acquisition in Central Europe for Coveris. Following the acquisition of packaging sites in Hungary (with Plasztik-Tranzit in March 2020), Poland (D.K. Lamin in June 2023) and the Czech Republic (S&K Label last February), the Austrian-based packaging solutions manufacturer, which employs 4,100 people, is now expanding its business with Hadepol Flexo, a Polish manufacturer of paper packaging and Hadepol Flexo flexible packaging films.
Hadepol Flexo, which operates two production sites in Rypin, Poland, specializes in paper and film packaging solutions for bakeries and supermarkets, mainly for the domestic market.
"I'm delighted that, despite the difficult times facing the industrial sector, we're managing to pursue our growth strategy." says Christian Kolarik, CEO of Coveris, which operates some thirty packaging production sites. "Hadepol Flexo perfectly complements our existing production network and will enable us to materialize synergies while enriching service and availability for European customers in the bakery and confectionery sectors."
The acquisition is subject to the usual regulatory approvals and is expected to be finalized around the middle of the second quarter of 2024.
