Sleever recovers Karlville technologies after liquidation of its French subsidiary

Sleever has acquired the assets associated with the Tampertec, Startec and Combitec labeling machines developed by Karlville Development. The takeover follows the receivership of Karlville Converting's French subsidiary.

Sleever, a specialist in sleeve label solutions, announces that it has acquired the drawings, data, hardware and software associated with the Tampertec, Startec and Combitec machines developed by Karlville Development. Karlville Development, a subsidiary of American company Karlville Converting specializing in sleeve-fitting and pouch-filling machines, was liquidated last April in Vaulx-en-Velin (Rhône).

The equipment concerned is historically based on Scheidegger technology, taken over by Karlville and then developed under its own brands. Sleever, which has 1,000 employees and 15 sites on four continents, points out that this operation is designed to ensure the continuity of tamper-evident sleeve application technologies developed by Karlville Development.

Sleever now has the resources to manufacture and upgrade this equipment. The France-based group also intends to offer dedicated after-sales service and technical support, both for customers already equipped and for new installations.

A number of former Karlville Development employees, whose number was not specified, are joining Sleever's teams. Their tasks will include the maintenance and development of the ranges concerned.
