Typologie Vert: 100 German fonts in a new color chart

The Typologie collection, published by Studio Recto Verso, is enriched by a fourth volume dedicated to German typographic design. Called Typologie Vert, this new color chart presents 100 fonts from 50 foundries, a record for the series.

Presented as a color chart, the book opens with a foreword by Erik Spiekermann, a major figure in contemporary German typography, and a preface by Pierre-Yann Lallaizon, designer of the collection. The cover is lettered by Carmi Grau.

A practical tool for typographic selection, the Typologie collection offers a condensed, mobile and visual approach, designed for graphic designers. Previous editions have focused on french typefaces swiss and British.

Death of Infini PLV CEO

Tragedy struck on the morning of Friday November 7 at Infini PLV in Coquelles, Pas-de-Calais.
The 53-year-old executive suffered a sudden collapse at work shortly after 9am. Despite rapid intervention by the Dunkirk Smur unit, the man could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead on the spot before 10 a.m., according to Nord Littoral .

Founded around the design and manufacture of point-of-sale advertising media, Infini PLV produces displays, totems and display furniture. A psychological support unit may be set up for employees.

Global Graphics Software becomes Hybrid Software Helix

Global Graphics Software, known for its core software technologies for digital printing, changes its name to Hybrid Software Helix. This change reflects the company's integration within the Hybrid Software Group, its specialization in embedded software components for industrial printing systems, and its historical roots in Cambridge.

According to CEO Justin Bailey, "the Helix name symbolizes our role in OEM systems: like DNA, our technology embeds the intelligence that makes industrial printing work."

Hybrid Software Heli, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2026, is the originator of the Harlequin RIP, still used in the graphics industry. It has won two King's and Queen's Awards for Enterprise for Innovation for its SmartDFE and ScreenPro solutions.

X-Rite acquires strategic assets from Rutherford Graphic Products

Color technology specialist X-Rite has announced the signature of an asset purchase agreement with US-based Rutherford Graphic Products (RGP). The transaction covers certain software and firmware elements of the company's closed-loop automation solutions for printing presses, designed for packaging converters.

Already partners for several years, X-Rite and RGP have worked together on systems combining IntelliTrax2 scanners, MeasureColor software and automated control tools developed by Rutherford. The aim of the acquisition is to provide an integrated, coherent offering, reducing manual intervention, paper waste and machine downtime.

According to Jeff McKee, President of X-Rite, this integration will " offer a more intelligent, connected automation solution, adapted to the growing demands of the packaging sector".

Fiery acquires Inèdit Software to strengthen its position in digital textile printing

Fiery, the spin-off company from Electronics For Imaging (EFI) âeuros, has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Inèdit Software, a Spanish publisher of RIP and color management solutions dedicated to digital textile printing.
Inèdit Software, owned by EFI since 2022, is the creator of neoStampa, neoTextil and neoCatalog software, used on a wide range of textile presses of all brands. This operation enables Fiery to expand its portfolio of specialized software solutions, while retaining the Inèdit brand as an independent product line.

EFI Reggiani, the textile subsidiary of the EFI Group, will continue to work with Inèdit Software as an OEM partner. According to Frank Pennisi, CEO of EFI, this agreement enables each entity to refocus on its core competencies: " Fiery will now support our textile business, while EFI will concentrate on systems, inks and production software. "

The GMI Congress is less than two weeks away

The 13? congress of the Groupement des métiers de l'impression (GMI) will bring together member managers, outside printers and partners for two days of exchange, strategic reflection and professional meetings, on November 26 and 27 at the salons Hoche in Paris's 8th arrondissement.

The event will open with a speech by Amir Reza-Tofighi, President of the CPME, who will share his vision of current economic and entrepreneurial issues. This annual event is designed to build a collective roadmap for the sector, in line with industrial, social and technological developments in the graphics industry.
