Print.Group, the holding company behind the Print.com printing platform, announces the acquisition of online printer Simian, with sales of 28 million euros. The deal includes the Reclameland, Flyerzone and Drukland brands, as well as Simian's 23,000 m2 production facility near Groningen in the Netherlands.
New expansion for Print.com
The integration of Simian is an important step for Print.Group, consolidating its production and logistics capabilities. Marco Aarnink, CEO of Print.Group, comments: "We are investing in a leading international marketplace, in a market that is constantly evolving."
Since its creation in 2019, Print.Group has enjoyed rapid European expansion, and now boasts sales of over 60 million euros.
A 23,000 m2 production unit at the heart of the system
With this acquisition, Print.Group acquires a large-scale, modern and perfectly optimized production unit. This new 23,000 m2 industrial facility, equipped with a Landa press, will enable the Group to achieve economies of scale while meeting the growing demands of the market: shorter lead times, greater personalization and diversification of printed media.
Impact on the organization of production sites
As part of this integration, Print.Group plans to close Print.com Productions' Dutch production unit in Oss. All activities will be transferred to Groningen, thus optimizing the Group's production capacities.
"Consolidating order volumes is a key priority, enabling Print.Group to achieve significant cost optimizations that will directly benefit customers." emphasizes Marco Aarnink.
Focus on new markets and opportunities
The integration of Simian and its production site expands the Group's industrial capabilities and opens up new prospects for product diversification.
"Print.com and Simian share a great passion for printing in all its forms. New markets and opportunities can only emerge if the entire supply chain works together in an integrated and integrated way sustainable", says Wouter Haan, CEO and founder of Simian, who will retain a position in the new entity. "In my new role, I'll be focusing on developing these strategic ambitions within Print.Group."
A clear distinction between brands
Print.com will continue to target exclusively creative professionals (designers, agencies, retailers and brands), while Reclameland, Flyerzone and Drukland will maintain their focus on SMEs. This segmentation aims to preserve the specificity of each brand while maximizing their commercial and logistical efficiency.
