Atelier Iscomée, craftsmanship at the heart of this new identity

Atelier Iscomée is the successor to MSTC, with a new manager at the helm and the ambition to make its expertise even more widely known.

In Écommoy, Sarthe, France, MSTC, a company specializing in the manufacture of cardboard boxes and cases for the luxury goods, publishing and printing industries, is changing its name to Atelier Iscomée, Haute cartonnerie française. The new name, which replaces the acronym Maîtrise services techniques cartonnage, reflects the company's determination to assert its excellent craftsmanship and strengthen its roots in the made in France sector.

A new name for a stronger ambition

Taken over at the end of 2022 by Sophie Monteil, MSTC corresponded to three well-defined criteria for the new manager: a company with rare know-how, employing more than ten people and based in north-west France. Today, with a team of 22 employees, Atelier Iscomée is pursuing its development, with the emphasis on passing on know-how and supporting demanding projects.

"This change isn't just a new identity. It's a promise: to stay true to our DNA while continuing to transform ourselves." explains Sophie Monteil on LinkedIn. "'Iscomée' is a way of anchoring us in our territory, in homage to "iscomodiacus", the ancient name of Écommoy. But it's also an open door to the future, an invitation to showcase our work to artisans, museums, publishers and luxury brands."

A collective and thoughtful redesign

The transformation into Atelier Iscomée didn't happen overnight. The project involved in-depth reflection with the company's teams and partners. Workers, sales staff and other internal players all contributed to defining the values and history that make the workshop unique.

Customer feedback also played a key role. Some emphasized the excellence of the work carried out over the years, and encouraged Atelier Iscomée to reveal more of itself. The main challenge is to fully reveal an exceptional craftsmanship rooted in French heritage.

Manual expertise at the heart of our identity

Hand-crafting remains the cornerstone of the workshop, whose customers include the French Republic. Each box and case crafted by Atelier Iscomée's artisans bears witness to advanced technical mastery and rigorous precision. The company is not guided by the logic of mass production, but by the quest for ever more accomplished work.

"Here, every gesture counts. Unparalleled dexterity, perfect synchronicity: this is what enables us to produce not just more, but better, says the team on social networks.

Atelier Iscomée, the excellence of French craftsmanship

With this new identity, Atelier Iscomée affirms its commitment to excellence and French craftsmanship. "We're fortunate to work for artisans, museums, publishers and luxury brands who share our values. And we want to go further, strengthening our roots in made in France and supporting projects that really matter." says the workshop.
