The new AccurioPress C14010 and C12010 for flexibility and automation

With the AccurioPress C14010/S and C12010/S, Konica offers printing on thin and thick substrates in various formats, from envelopes to die-cut labels and banners, a fifth color and automated parameter functions.

Konica Minolta expands its range of digital color presses with the AccurioPress C14010/S and C12010/S. Aimed at print providers, offset printers, digital printers, direct mail specialists, document production companies and reprographics centers, they have been designed to offer extensive media and application support and automated settings management.

140 pages per minute for the AccurioPress C14010

These four new CMYK presses offer speeds of up to 140 pages per minute (ppm) for the fastest model (AccurioPress C14010/S) and 120 ppm for its counterpart (AccurioPress C12010/S). The machines can handle high volumes while maintaining enhanced color stability and precision.

The S models feature a fifth color, white, which expands creative possibilities. This feature, available at 120 ppm, will be of particular interest to graphic arts professionals wishing to diversify their print offerings.

Advanced automation to reduce intervention

Another major evolution of these new toner presses is their automated management of printing parameters.
Six IM-104 and IM-105 media sensors automatically identify paper type, weight, format and register. This recognition should optimize printing parameters, limiting errors and reducing operator adjustments.

What's more, the IQ-601 unit, equipped with an on-line spectrophotometer, continuously adjusts colorimetric calibration. This guarantees color stability without the need for manual adjustments.

Wide compatibility of media and formats

The AccurioPress C14010/S and C12010/S handle a wide variety of substrates, including embossed paper, polyester, die-cut labels and envelopes.

They can handle both thin and thick weights (up to 450 g/m²) 2 ), opening the way to specific applications such as book covers and lightweight packaging.
In terms of formats, they accept banner printing up to 1,300 mm in simplex mode and 900 mm in duplex, enabling the production of fold-out brochures and posters.

"Fewer contact points, reduced downtime and instant creativity"

For Karl Friedrich Edenhuizen, Senior Product Manager, Color Presses at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, "This launch represents a new milestone for Konica Minolta". He adds: "We help our customers rethink their opportunities with new support tools that optimize their productivity. Fewer touchpoints, reduced downtime and instant creativity enable them to do more, more efficiently."
