Labelexpo 2025: 8 hours of non-stop production for Screen and Nilpeter

Screen Truepress Label 350UV SAI S UV inkjet press

At Labelexpo 2025, Screen and Nilpeter will orchestrate a complete flow of digital labels, printed and finished live. The aim: to demonstrate the stability of the Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI S press combined with the REFINE Compact 2 finishing line.

Eight hours of uninterrupted printing every day: that's what Screen and Nilpeter will be showing visitors at Labelexpo Europe 2025. At the show, to be held in Barcelona, Spain, from September 16 to 19, the Japanese manufacturer will be exhibiting its Truepress Label 350UV SAI S UV inkjet press, configured for continuous operation, in conjunction with a finishing line from Denmark's Nilpeter.
The two manufacturers aim to offer a complete digital chain, from print to finished reel, with a high level of automation and minimal human intervention.

Truepress Label 350UV SAI S in tandem with Refine Compact 2

The Truepress Label 350UV SAI S press, already positioned in the value-added self-adhesive label segment, will be running at full speed for the duration of the show. Each printed reel will be immediately transferred to a Refine Compact 2 finishing unit, installed on the same stand.

Developed by Nilpeter, the Refine Compact 2 is a compact solution designed specifically for digital production. It can be used in-line or off-line, with configuration changes announced as being very rapid. Its compact footprint enables it to be integrated into constrained production environments, while retaining embellishment functions via a varnishing station, laminating module and instant UV curing.

Automation of the entire label production line

The printing and finishing package is based on an automation logic designed to reduce waste and optimize makeready time. Screen boasts automatic pre-registration management, dynamic scale adjustment according to substrate variations, and stable colorimetry right from the first label, without manual intervention.

The Refine Compact 2 finishing line also incorporates its own automated functions, enabling cutting and varnishing stages to be aligned with upstream print data.

A well-established partnership between Screen and Nilpeter

Screen and Nilpeter have been working together for over a decade, particularly in the Japanese market, where the Danish manufacturer relies on Screen's distribution network. This relationship has already given rise to several projects for hybrid solutions combining digital printing and flexography.

Nilpeter will also be showcasing its full range of label and finishing equipment on its own stand (Hall 3, D55).
