AccurioLabel, JETvarnish, Octopus Web, GM... what Konica Minolta is up to

At Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona, Konica Minolta and MGI will be presenting their digital label offering, combining printing, finishing and finishing. Among the new products on show, the AccurioLabel 400 will unveil a high-opacity white toner.

With its latest digital presses and software solutions, Konica Minolta intends to strengthen its position in the label market at Labelexpo Europe, which opens in Barcelona, Spain, on September 16, 2025. The Japanese manufacturer will be sharing its stand (hall 5, E61/5G60) with French manufacturer MGI Digital Technology under the slogan Ajoutez du piquant à vos étiquettes.

The two digital machine manufacturers will present a range of production, finishing and finishing presses for label converters and flexible packaging printers. Among the equipment announced are Konica Minolta's AccurioLabel 230 and 400, MGI's JetVarnish 3D Web 400 and Octopus Web, and the DC350Mini Basic from Danish manufacturer GM.

AccurioLabel 400 with high-opacity white toner

The AccurioLabel 400 press, which prints at 2400 x 1200 dpi, will incorporate a white toner for the first time, with a claimed opacity of over 70%. This fifth toner completes the existing CMYK offering and opens the way to labels on dark or metallic substrates, without the need for screen printing','www.printindustry.news/search/serigraphy');" class="lien-auto-article" href="https://www.printindustry.news/search/serigraphy">screen printing. Automated quality management via the IQ-501 (Intelligent Quality Care) system promises continuous colorimetric control, without manual intervention.
With print speeds of up to 39.9 m/min and the option of customization or on-demand print runs, the AccurioLabel 400 is clearly targeted at printers wishing to streamline intermediate volumes or react faster to demand.

Also present at Labelexpo 2025, the more compact AccurioLabel 230 is designed for those looking to migrate from conventional production to digital, or to balance workflows with other digital presses.

Finishing and finishing with the latest MGI technologies

MGI will be exhibiting the Octopus Web, its digital die-cutting line for self-adhesive labels. Equipped with four-axis cutting heads with blades, this solution eliminates cumbersome mechanical steps and should facilitate the transition from one production run to another.

The JetVarnish 3D Web 400, also on show, is designed to apply selective varnish and digital hot foil stamping inline. This MGI solution meets the growing demand for visual and tactile differentiation in the cosmetics, premium food and pharmaceutical sectors. Compatibility with flexible substrates, in particular films, is an argument in favor of flexible packaging manufacturers.

The DC350Mini Basic, GM's compact label cutting machine

The Konica stand will also feature the DC350Mini Basic, a machine manufactured by Grafisk Maskinfabrik (GM), a long-standing Konica partner.

GM's DC350Mini Basic is the most compact unit in the manufacturer's series of label finishing machines. It features semi-rotary die-cutting, laminating and a pneumatic slitting system with crush knives.

Software and data: towards controlled production

On the software front, Konica Minolta will be highlighting its AccurioPro Flux and AccurioPro Dashboard tools. The former enables management of print flows and impositions, while the latter offers real-time monitoring of activity, print volumes and toner consumption. These solutions are aimed at production sites wishing to gain greater visibility of their print profitability, or optimize their scheduling.

Finally, a technological preview of a future, as yet unannounced AccurioLabel digital press is scheduled for the show. No technical details have yet been released.
