Konica Minolta's next-generation AccurioPress makes its debut

Konica Minolta unveils an upgrade to its AccurioPress C7100 Enhanced and C7090 Enhanced digital color toner presses, featuring automation and color management tools designed to boost productivity and rendering consistency.

Konica Minolta launches the next generation of its color toner range for high-speed production: the AccurioPress C7100 Enhanced and C7090 Enhanced. These two new models are designed to streamline production workflows and improve print consistency on long runs. The C7090 Enhanced press is rated at 90 pages per minute (ppm), while the C7100 Enhanced reaches 100 ppm. Both toner presses are compatible with substrates up to 400 g/m² 2 these include textured and embossed substrates, and can handle long formats up to 900 mm in automatic mode.

Accuracy and rendering stability at the heart of AccurioPress Enhanced design

The great novelty of Enhanced lies in its Intelligent Color Control technology. Intelligent Color Control uses an algorithm that measures colors during production. Konica explains: "This ensures consistent quality, order after order, in line with customer expectations, while reducing manual adjustments and enabling unattended, uninterrupted printing.

What's more, both presses feature Simitri V toner, designed to ensure good fixation and consistent rendering on all supported substrates. This toner, which delivers a resolution of 3,600 x 2,400 DPI, remains stable over long print runs, while preserving fine detail. The integrated image processor, S.E.A.D. X, manages screen, density and compensation in real time over 13 color channels.

Different automation options for every need

Automation is also one of the key features of this new version.
The optional IQ-501 module provides real-time control of duplex alignment and color parameters. It eliminates the need for manual recalibration and repeated visual inspections, thus reducing downtime.

For workshops wishing to minimize post-printing handling, the new AccurioPress can also be equipped with the TU-510e unit. This option enables four-sided cutting, creasing and in-line perforation. This means that documents such as business cards, coupons or brochures can be finished without the need for an external finishing line.

Continuous evolutionary updating

With this Enhanced series, Konica Minolta continues the evolution of a platform originally launched in 2021. According to Karl Friedrich Edenhuizen, product manager for color toner systems at Konica Minolta Europe, these systems should enable customers to "increase productivity while simplifying processes, and benefit from extended creativity".
