Labelexpo Europe 2025: Konica Minolta unveils the future AccurioLabel

At Labelexpo, Konica Minolta presented a prototype digital label press. This new system is based on the AccurioLabel 230, but with enhanced automation and print quality.

Ten years after launching its first digital label press, Konica Minolta marks the occasion at Labelexpo Europe 2025 with the presentation of a new AccurioLabel prototype. At the show, held at Barcelona's Fira Gran Via from September 16 to 19, the Japanese manufacturer unveiled this mid-range machine featuring enhanced automation options and stabilized color register at full speed.

A move upmarket for mid-market digital

Aimed at printers looking for a mid-range dry toner solution, the new press, based on the AccurioLabel 230, can reach 23.4 linear meters per minute, and now boasts a higher resolution of 1âeuros200 x 2âeuros400 DPI (compared to 1200 x1200 with the previous model).

The prototype, which does not yet have an official name, is also equipped with an optional IQ (Intelligent Quality Optimizer) automated control system.

The manufacturer claims color and register retention even at full speed, as well as longer print runs without manual adjustment, up to 1âeuros600Â linear meters.

Visitors were also able to discover the AccurioLabel 230 in CMYK to the AccurioLabel 400, CMYK plus white.

MGI Digital Technology, its long-standing technology partner, exhibited the JETvarnish 3D Web 400 dedicated to finishing and the Octopus Web cutting system.

On the software side, Konica presented upgrades to AccurioPro Flux, the IC-320L Creo controller and Dashboard Connect, enhanced with remote approval (Approve) and predictive maintenance (Predict) functions. The whole package is designed to facilitate the integration and management of automated workflows, from prepress to finishing.

In 10 years in the digital label sector, Konica has installed over 1,700 presses worldwide. According to the IDC MarketScape 2025 report, the manufacturer is one of the world leaders in high-speed digital presses.
