The Board of Directors has appointed Bruce Broussard as interim Managing Director, with immediate effect, following the departure of Enrique Lores.

The change is unexpected. HP is announcing the departure of Enrique Lores, President and CEO of the American printer and computer manufacturer, who is also leaving the Board of Directors " for another professional opportunity" . HP is entrusting the interim role to Bruce Broussard, a director since 2021, while a dedicated committee leads the search for the next CEO, with the support of an executive search firm.

Bruce Broussard is presented as a man with over 30 years' experience in listed companies. He headed the health insurer Humana for over ten years, following an eleven-year career with the US oncology network US Oncology, where he held financial and executive positions, up to Chairman of the Board.

Chip Bergh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, sees this change as a continuation of the execution of the Group's plan, and says he is counting on the current management team.
" This is a pivotal time for HP, as the company pursues its plan to shape the future of work. Rigorous implementation is paying off in a dynamic environment (...) We are confident that we have the right strategy and that Bruce is the ideal leader to take HP forward while we search for our next CEO."
Bruce Broussard, for his part, evokes a phase of "stability and continuity during the research process.

The 50,000-employee group thanks Enrique Lores for 36 years with the company, including seven years as CEO. Lores recalls that he joined HP as a trainee, and describes the companyâ??s transformation into a â?? "AI-driven technology company" .
