Royal Mail puts the spotlight on greetings and Christmas cards
In the UK, Royal Mail is not abandoning mail - quite the contrary. It is even launching a major campaign to promote Christmas and greeting cards, with a competition and a presence on all media (TV, radio, social networks and video platforms). The national postal service wants to highlight the emotional impact of handwritten messages and encourage Britons to send cards this festive season.
The initiative, supported by the Greeting Card Association (GCA), is part of a long-standing tradition in the UK. According to the GCA, the UK sends out the most cards per capita in the world. The sector represents £1.53 billion in annual sales, and mobilizes a dense network of publishers, printers, retailers and designers.
In a context where 92% of Britons send âeuros cards more than they drink âeuros tea, the campaign also highlights the social and psychological role played by this practice, particularly with younger people, whose interest is on the rise.

The 11th edition of the Finat Technical Handbook now available in French
Presented at Labelexpo Europe in September 2025, the 11th edition of the Finat Technical Handbook, which brings together test methods for self-adhesive labels, is now available (in French and German).
This new edition includes 31 test methods, technical recommendations and contacts for test equipment suppliers.
Hinojosa launches a certified carbon calculator for its packaging
Spanish cardboard packaging manufacturer Hinojosa Packaging Group, which operates 24 sites across Europe, has unveiled a new tool for calculating the carbon footprint of its packaging. Based on the GHG Protocol methodology, it measures the greenhouse gas emissions associated with each product, from the extraction of raw materials to the end of the production process.
This tool is designed to help the Group's customers reduce their emissions and anticipate regulatory requirements. The data used have been certified by AENOR and cover the three scopes of the protocol, with 2024 as the reference year.
Cuist'Hop, Picourt's innovative catering tray
The Picourt group, based in Frucourt (Somme), launches Cuist'Hop, a food tray designed to go straight from the oven to the plate, thanks to a patented bottom-opening system. Resistant from âeuros40 °C to +220 °C, it is compatible with the freezer, oven and microwave.

Aimed at the food, catering and institutional sectors, Cuist'Hop is designed to reduce handling, speed up service and limit environmental impact, with 100% recyclable or compostable models.
Available in 45 sizes up to GN1/2, the range can be customized to enhance brand visibility.
Konica Minolta to relocate headquarters
Digital printing machinery manufacturer Konica Minolta has announced that it will relocate its headquarters to the Blue Front Shibaura Tower S in Tokyo, Japan, in February 2027. The move will consolidate corporate functions currently spread over two sites, in order to improve internal communication and operational efficiency.
A new logo for Billet Imprimeur
Based in Damery in the Marne region, Billet Imprimeur is modernizing its image with a new logo. The hundred-year-old printer, a specialist in top-of-the-range labels for the wine industry, is banking on a modernized signature, an evocative slogan "Au devant de vos émotions" ("Ahead of your emotions") and a B-shaped butterfly symbol.

Impremium joins Docuworld Network
Docuworld Network welcomes a new member with the arrival of Impremium, a digital printer based in Marseilles and Montpellier, bringing the network of independent digital printing sites to 17. The integration is taking place in two stages: the Marseille site joined the network on October 1, 2025, with the Montpellier site to follow on January 1, 2026.
Founded in 1969 under the name Super Plan, Impremium now employs 15 people and generates sales of 2.5 million euros, with a range of products from small to large format, including digital die-cutting, flags and stands.
