Konica Minolta renews its range of digital color presses with the AccurioPress C5080 series. The successor to the AccurioPress C4080 series, it has been designed to make professional digital printing accessible to businesses of all sizes. Three models make up this range: the AccurioPress C5080, AccurioPress C5070 and AccurioPress C5065. Their output reaches 81, 71 and 65 pages per minute respectively.
Erik Klute, Product Manager at Konica Minolta Business Solutions, explains that these presses have been designed to facilitate access to digital production thanks to automated functions and simplified handling.
This range is designed for printers and production plants that have to meet growing demand for short runs and short lead times.
Intelligent sensors and in-line quality control
The presses can be equipped with IM-104 and IM-105 media sensors, which automatically identify media and apply the appropriate settings.
Also available is the IQ-601 intelligent quality optimizer. This equipment ensures colorimetric control, media profiling and sheet inspection during production.
The new models are available with three controllers: the AccurioImage IC-613, the Fiery® IC-421 internal controller or the Fiery IC-321 image controller.
The TU-510e, "the world's first in-line cutting unit"
The series can be combined with various finishing solutions, including the TU-510e module, "the world's first in-line die-cutting unit" says Konica. This four-sided die-cutting, creasing and perforating solution enables bleed-edge finishing for banners, brochures, direct mail and certain business card applications.
