Xerox unveils the PX300 and PX500, the first presses in its new Proficio range

The PX300 and PX500 usher in Proficio, Xerox's new flagship production press brand, featuring Ultra HD resolution and an optional fifth color.

Two speeds, one platform and a new name. Xerox launches the PX300 and PX500, two digital color sheetfed presses for medium-capacity production. These are the first machines in the Proficio range. "Proficio is our new flagship production press brand. It's the beginning of a new era for Xerox production printing." says the manufacturer.

The PX300 reaches a speed of 85 pages per minute, while its big sister, the PX500, reaches 100 pages per minute.
Both digital presses feature Ultra HD resolution (2400 x 2400 DPI) and can be equipped with a fifth color station. This option enables the addition of three non-quadrichrome colors: a clear varnish, a satin varnish and a fluorescent pink ink.

The Proficio PX300 and Proficio PX500 are driven by a new print controller developed with Fiery, based on the FS700X, designed exclusively for the PX300 and PX500.

The machines also incorporate a performance control module as standard, which adjusts inking density and double-sided register in real time, without slowing down the press speed. The system also includes an antistatic device to limit stacking or finishing problems on synthetic papers.

Proficio presses can be linked to Xerox's FreeFlow solutions, XMPie personalization tools and AI-assisted workflows. This architecture automates job preparation, reduces repetitive handling and provides real-time analysis data.
