Esko and GlobalVision Launch Verify Comply to Inspect Packaging and Labels Using AI

In response to the growing number of regulatory requirements, Esko and GlobalVision are launching a tool that uses AI to automate compliance checks for packaging and labels.

A few months after acquiring GlobalVision, Esko introduced Verify Comply, the first software product resulting from the merger of the two companies. Verify Comply is a quality control tool that uses artificial intelligence to detect errors and potential non-conformities in graphic files for packaging and labels.

The Belgian provider of packaging design and production software  Esko  acquired GlobalVision, a Canadian software company specializing in automated file quality control , earlier this year. Verify Comply is now combining their technologies to automate some of the checks performed before going live.

An incomplete list of ingredients, a missing allergen statement, or an incorrect claim: Verify Comply is designed to identify these types of discrepancies in packaging files.

To do this, users create repositories that compile regulatory requirements, brand requirements, and technical specifications for packaging. The AI then analyzes the documents and compares their content to the stored rules. Any errors, omissions, or inconsistencies are flagged for users.

Standards can be modified and reused for different product SKUs, multiple markets, or different suppliers.
A single brand can thus apply common rules to all of its packaging, while taking into account the specific requirements of each country.

Esko offers two ways to use Verify Comply.
The software can run directly within WebCenter, the company's packaging project management platform. Checks are then performed using the files and data already present in the workflows.
Verify Comply is also available as a standalone version, without requiring the use of WebCenter.
