Fondation du Patrimoine: Harmonizing its graphic charter at the national level, a strategic challenge

How to control its brand image on documents generated by departmental delegations and manage the graphic charter at national?? How to provide delegations with marketing tools that are charted and quick to put on oeuvre?? Thanks to the PrintFlux Web-to-Print platform, the Fondation du Patrimoine has succeeded in federating its delegations around a national and harmonious graphic charter.

The Fondation du Patrimoine's mission is to safeguard and promote French local heritage. The organisations identify threatened sites and buildings and then organise private or public partnerships to renovate them. While the headquarters are in Paris, the organisation has 22 regional delegations and 100 departmental delegations managed by volunteers. In 2017, 2,510 projects were supported and 31.5 million euros of aid for heritage collected.

Control of the brand image and the quality of the documents: a complicated graphic management

"Our departmental delegations are launching subscriptions for the renovation of French heritage. They work with town halls, associations or financial partners to collect funds, which require numerous communication tools such as subscription warrants. Depending on the projects, the personalisation of messages is always different and we manage hundreds of files per month" explains Anne-Sophie Jumelle, communication officer at the Fondation du Patrimoine.

While headquarters manages global communication, each delegation carries its local projects. Until now, each has worked on its own, whether in terms of the format, colour or design of the documents. They had nothing to do from one delegation to another. " Especially since the people working in delegations are not graphic designers and do not have the tools to make the models. It took them an enormous amount of time." details Anne-Sophie.

A twofold problem

In this context, the Fondation du Patrimoine was looking for a simple solution that would allow it to disseminate and protect its graphic charter and image, while providing easily accessible tools for teams to save time in the production of their promotional documents.

The Foundation worked hand in hand with PrintFlux to design a secure space allowing all the Foundation's employees to create all their communication tools in a few clicks. This platform is very easy to use. Just select a document, fill in the necessary fields (title, copyright, photos...) to obtain a charted PDF, ready to be printed. It also complies with legal constraints and respects copyrights, an important awareness point.

Deployment of new products, catalogue management... all actions are under control

With PrintFlux, the head office has tools to easily monitor the activity of its delegations and the orders placed via the platform. It can thus intervene quickly and support projects, which is essential today.

"I concentrate the needs of the delegations and then draw up the charter documents at headquarters. They are then integrated into the Printflux platform. Everyone logs on using their login and password, manages their communication needs and I can follow up on orders via my administrator access" adds Anne-Sophie.

Succeed in federating the 100 departmental delegations around a project

This project, to be successful, had to federate the volunteers of the delegations. Without them, nothing was possible, and they had no obligation to join the project if the expected benefits were not there.

Today, after a few months of use, the Web-to-Print platform is a real success. Thanks to the quality of the service provided, the Fondation du Patrimoine has succeeded in federating all the delegations, optimising working time and increasing productivity.

"Delegations and headquarters alike have been looking forward to this tool, because it is a real time-saver and it allows us to harmonize our image. From the moment it was introduced, the feedback has been very positive and they all use it to create their documents. At PrintFlux, they were very responsive and available to adapt to our needs and technical constraints" concludes Anne-Sophie Jumelle.
