From stamp printing to wine labels, Philaposte expands its field of action

Previously specializing in stamp printing, Philaposte is now applying its expertise to wine labels.

From now on, La Poste will be present at trade fairs dedicated to the wine market. The group's security printer, Philaposte, intends to make its presence felt in the world of wine and spirits. In partnership with a number of companies, the printing works based in Boulazac Isle Manoire in the Dordogne region of France is launching a range of packaging solutions "high added value based on the security, interactivity and aesthetics of wine and spirits labels, called Taille Douce 2.0.

A security ink from the criminal investigation department

With Taille Douce 2.0, Philaposte offers a new-generation security ink. Developed by CST (Crime Science Technology) and based on a technology developed by the criminal police, this ink, known as OVM, will be used exclusively to secure QR codes.

Philaposte also works in collaboration with Prooftag, specialists in container security. "With them, we combined intaglio printing technology with encrypted, digital security technology to offer highly secure solutions on products such as champagne or spirits collars." explains Romain de Villechenon, Corporate Marketing Director at Philaposte, in a video presentation.

The AI-connected label

To meet consumers' need for experience and information, Philaposte is integrating conversational AI into its labels. This device, designed with AskMona, enables direct interaction with the customer about the wine through the label and an app: history of the estate, food and wine pairings, tasting tips... It will answer all your wine-related questions. This phygital approach fosters engagement while collecting useful data for producers.

Improved traceability for better distribution

Faced with regulatory requirements and the expectations of international markets, traceability is becoming a central issue. Philaposte offers a range of technologies that guarantee rapid, secure product authentication throughout the distribution chain, limiting the risk of fraud and facilitating logistics tracking.

The official presentation at the Cité du Vin

Surrounded by its specialist partners, including Prooftag, CST, AskMona, Pollux and Dartess, Philaposte will officially present this new offering at the Cité du Vin in Bordeaux on March 24.
