New CEO at the head of Agfa-Gevaert

On February 1, 2020, Pascal Juery will take over as CEO of Agfa-Gevaert, succeeding Christian Reinaudo, who will continue as member of the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors decided to appoint Pascal Juery as Chief Executive Officer of the Agfa-Gevaert Group as of 1 January 2010 er february 2020. He will succeed Frenchman Christian Reinaudo, who will continue as a member of the Board of Directors.

The future CEO of the Belgian group, Pascal Juery, 54, is a Frenchman born in Paris, a graduate of the ESCP Business School (formerly the École supérieure de commerce de Paris). He has been working in the chemical and advanced materials industries for more than 30 years.
For the past 10 years he was a member of the Executive Committee of the French chemical industry group Rhodia and later of the Belgian chemical group Solvay, where he was actively involved in the group's portfolio and business transformation, according to Agfa.

A new CEO at "a decisive moment" of Agfa

Klaus Röhrig, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Agfa-Gevaert, emphasizes in a statement: "We are very pleased with the results We are pleased to welcome Pascal Juery as the new CEO at a decisive moment in the Group's transformation process. His previous experience in the executive management of an international company in the midst of a transformation journey will enable him to lead Agfa-Gevaert in its fast-moving markets"

A strategy that is bearing fruit

And the Board thanks Christian Reinaudo for his work over the past decade. Klaus Röhrig, Chairman of the Board of Directors, says: "Christian Reinaudo took over as CEO on 1 May 2010 under difficult circumstances. Following the global economic crisis of 2008-2009, he succeeded in stabilizing the company and restoring its profitability. He has implemented a growth strategy for all of the Group's businesses which, as the results of the last two quarters show, is beginning to bear fruit (+1.1% in sales excluding special effects and +9.1% in EBITDA, between Q3 2019 and Q3 2018, editor's note) . With the planned divestiture of part of Agfa HealthCare's IT activities, the company will have the necessary resources to further develop these growth strategies"

The Board of Directors invites the shareholders to elect Pascal Juery as a director at the Annual General Meeting of May 12, 2020.
