Since 23 December 2019, the Imprimerie Chirat located in Saint-Just-la-Pendue in the Loire has been awarded the Entreprise du patrimoine vivant (EPV) label.
Issued by the Minister of the Economy and Finance, the EPV label distinguishes companies emblematic of French industrial or artisanal excellence.
Founded in 1911, the Imprimerie Chirat is located in the heart of the "between tradition, innovation and performance" . The 187-employee printing plant now integrates all the businesses in the graphic chain, from database processing to offset printing, finishing and routing, and has achieved a turnover of 21.6 million euros for the 2018-2019 financial year.
"Obtaining the Living Heritage Company label is a mark of recognition for our know-how and the regular investments made to modernise our machine park, says Jacques Chirat, Chairman and CEO of Imprimerie Chirat. We are proud to be able to contribute to the spread of French excellence through this distinction in the printing and binding sector"
Imprimerie Chirat thus joins the 1500 other companies from all sectors rewarded for their know-how.
In the printing and paper industry (graphic and other), approximately 40 companies received the ePV label, like Japell in L'Essone of the Japell Hanser Sag group, specialising in print finishing techniques at the end of 2017, or boutaux Packaging Printing in the Orne region, specialising in publishing and promotional packaging with high added value, which will be awarded the label in 2018, or in 2017 the Arches papermaker settled in the Vosges.
