Currently trucks are delivering numerous boxes to the Peau printing works: a Heidelberg offset press is on its way to the printing company in Berd'huis in the Orne. The 38-strong printing plant will be equipped in the coming weeks with a Speedmaster XL 75 4-colour press plus coating unit.

The second-hand sheetfed offset press will be installed alongside two other offset presses from the German manufacturer and will replace an older generation Heidelberg CD 74 four-colour plus coating.
By replacing this 12-year-old machine, Guillaume Sauget, the CEO of Imprimerie Peau, mainly wants to increase makeready speed and reduce paper waste. "The old press from 2008 was equipped with Prinect Image Control. With the new press, we'll have Inpress Control, just like on our two other offset presses from Heidelberg" explains the leader . And for the printer, the difference in makeready between the two spectrophotometric control systems is significant.
In addition to this investment in its offset machine park, the printer is installing new digital printing and finishing machines. We will come back to this subject later..
