The Label French Tech Club, the label that defends French label and flexible packaging manufacturers

This new brand was created by MGI, Codimag, Gic, Serame and Smag.

Five French manufacturers of labels and flexible packaging have decided to join forces to create the Label French Tech Club. Through this original approach, MGI, Codimag, Serame, Gic and Smag Graphique wish to defend French know-how to printers and converters in France and abroad.

MGI - manufacturer of digital printing and finishing machines, Codimag - manufacturer of waterless offset printing machines for self-adhesive labels and packaging, Serame - specialised in non-stop unwinders and rewinders for self-adhesive label manufacturers, Gic - manufacturer dedicated to digital finishing, control and lamination solutions for RFID and Smag - specializing in reel-to-reel flatbed screen printing, finishing, die-cutting, RFID and NFC solutions and on-demand machines, are developing their range of high value-added technologies in France, building and marketing them worldwide.

A special year that prompts us to rethink customer relations

"The one-year postponement of Drupa, the absence of any major events this year in the label and flexible packaging industry and the two-month shutdown due to containment clearly lead us to rethink the way we approach our customers." explains Victor Abergel, the co-founder and CEO of MGI.

Bruno Vitali, founder and CEO of GIC, adds : "The covid crisis has highlighted a problem of technological dependency and distant sourcing, which is a big issue for European label and flexible packaging manufacturers. Through the club, we want to show them that there is a French technological offer, innovative and with high added value, close to their factories and reactive".

And the new organisation has already planned a major event, the French Tech Expo 2020 Label. This exhibition, which will be held in Paris next October, will focus on equipment demonstrations and workshops.
We will soon be back in our columns on this brand new appointment.
