Agfa launches Studio 5D10 virtual living room to replace Fespa

The manufacturer will offer live and online sessions over three days to learn about Agfa's inkjet innovations and discuss key graphic arts topics.

La Fespa is annulée?? Only tienne?! Instead of the digital and large format exhibition that was to be held in Spain, Agfa is offering a large virtual event from Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 October 2020. Named Studio 5D10 after the stand the Belgian manufacturer had booked, it will consist of live online broadcasts from Agfa's headquarters.

Twice a day, these one-hour sessions - in English - will deal with a specific inkjet printing theme. They will consist of expert opinions, feedback, general information and question and answer sessions.

Here is the program of Studio 5D10, composed of three one-hour thematic sessions twice a day (at 10am and 4pm):
- Tuesday, October 6: Expand and Diversify Your Business - Large Format Inkjet for Offset Printing
This session is aimed in particular at offset printers who are considering investing in large format printing to expand their offering.
She will present how to take advantage of the offset/inkjet combination and make money with large format inkjet printing format?; how to have the same colours on all technologies and on all platforms supports?; how to attract new businesses with new applications créatives?; how to combine print quality, productivity and profitability and how to automate large format printing.

- Wednesday 7 October: From flat to finish - Inkjet printing on corrugated board
This session will present the strategic advantages of Agfa's packaging technology.
"Instead, we focus on how we can support your growth in this market with a number of tools, including workflow automation, MIS integration, dashboards, brand control, dedicated inks and colour consistency, as well as technical and strategic support, describes Agfa. A number of user cases will illustrate this point."

- Thursday 8 October: Going further - Synchronisation of inkjet components for perfect print results
This session is dedicated to very specific printing needs.
"In some cases we build the system solution and use tiers? components; in other cases we install dedicated inks in another manufacturer's printing solution. In the latter cases, printing is often part of a larger production process." The manufacturer will present examples of laminate floors, furniture panels, wooden pallets, corrugated cardboard packaging and even real leather decoration.
