Onlineprinters installs two HP PageWide T250 HD rotary presses

The printer is strengthening its German digital fleet, seduced by its first experience.

After installation of the HP Indigo 100K Digital Sheetfed Press (read Onlineprinters acquires the world's first HP Indigo 100K ) and then in a second, Onlineprinters adds two new HP machines to its production site in Germany. The group, which employs more than 1?800 employees, has just signed an order form for two digital presses, HP PageWide T250 HD.

The 22-inch (55.8 cm) wide HP PageWide T250 HD Digital Web Press, which reaches a print speed of 152 m/min, was launched in March. And the first site in the world to be equipped with this model is a subsidiary of Onlineprinters, Solopress located in England.

Juergen Winkler, Onlineprinters' Chief Operating Officer, explains about this first experience : "We were not only convinced by the performance of the entire system, but also by the new HP Brilliant inks." .
The new HP Brilliant Inks have been specially developed for use on coated and uncoated offset media. Their formulation makes it possible to dispense with the processing of standard offset substrates.

The printer also particularly appreciated the print quality and production flexibility of these presses for short and medium runs. "The two HP PageWide T250 HD presses will significantly reduce the weight of our machinery for short run production and enable us to produce high quality digital printed products he adds.

One of the two HP PageWide T250 HD will be used primarily for producing brochures. The second will be used for stationery printing.

In addition to these two HP PageWide presses, Onlineprinters has invested in finishing systems. The group recently installed two Müller-Martini saddle stitchers, which are used for the production of brochures, as well as a Hunkeler roll-to-roll cutter for one of the PageWide presses.

"The latest additions to our fleet allow for flexibility while maintaining maximum quality. In this way, we are not only expanding our digital printing portfolio, but we are also well equipped for long-term changes in the printing market" said Juergen Winkler.
