Two new machines at the Grafipolis school

This laser machine and embroidery machine will allow the school's students to complete their training.

The students of the Grafipolis school located in Nantes in the Loire-Atlantique region will be working on two new machines. The school, which trains 300 people a year for 10 diplomas in graphics and multimedia, has just acquired a laser cutting and engraving machine and a 15-head embroidery machine. "They are a real plus that goes beyond what is recommended in the diploma reference documents" the school is pleased to report.

Installed next to a Zünd, the laser machine, a Fusion M2 from the American manufacturer Epilog Laser, will be used by the students of the vocational baccalaureate (bac pro) for the finishing of printed products, routing and the graphic arts vocational diploma (brevet des métiers d'arts graphiques), signage option. "This machine has the advantage of cutting and engraving materials that are new to our training courses such as wood, fabric, leather or rubber." says the loirain training center.

Received as part of the apprenticeship tax, this almost new equipment was donated by the Posson Packaging company. The apprenticeship tax is used to finance apprenticeship expenses and is due from all companies subject to corporate income tax. Its amount is calculated on the basis of the salaries paid. Apprenticeship training centers (CFA) such as Grafipolis can benefit from 13% of this tax through payments in kind.

As for the 15-head embroidery machine of the Japanese brand Tajima, it will be used by the students and trainees in continuous training of the industrial screen printing cap and the professional baccalaureate of printed and multimedia products, option screen printing production.
"Embroidery is not in the repository of these diplomas, but some screen-printing companies often offer this related activity. Soon, embroidery on flatbed textiles, caps and other accessories will hold no secrets for them."
