Zünd expands its range of machines with the highly automated solution consisting of the Q-Line table, the BHS180 plate unloading unit and the Undercam sheet feeder. This all-in-one industrial converting line for POP and pallet-to-pallet packaging ensures uninterrupted production with speeds "spectacular" up to 2.8 m/s.
"The Q-Line with BHS180 makes it easier than ever for POP and packaging manufacturers to optimize their production processes and gain efficiency." assures the Swiss manufacturer.
The Q-Line, BHS180 and Undercam, automated pallet to pallet production
The Q-Line in combination with the BHS180 and the Undercam performs automated creasing, perforating, cutting and marking from pallet to pallet of many materials. Without manual intervention of the operator in the handling of the materials, the bottleneck at the cutting stage is eliminated.
Using QR codes, the Undercam control system integrated into the sheet feeder captures the order information and the appropriate production starts automatically for each job. It also detects defects in the printed image, and adapts the cutting contours on the fly with each scan.
In addition, sensors detect the edges of the material during sheet feeding, which allows the sheet to be aligned correctly. Thus, even poorly stacked piles can be processed.
The BHS180 unloading unit stacks different orders with a side shift so that completed orders can be easily removed from the stack.
The Zünd Q-Line: 4 modules and 5 tools for cutting, creasing and marking
Zünd has developed new modules and tools for the Q-Line.
Each cutting beam is equipped with four modules: two Automo E tool holder modules, one Automo L tool holder module and one fixed Incam sensor module. The latter captures marks, QR codes and sheet edges.
The Automo E tool carrier module is distinguished by the speed at which it lowers and raises the tools used. The Automo L module is capable of exerting a grooving pressure of 50 kg.
Tool management is fully digital, handled by the Tomac Tool Management Client. Five types of tools are possible.
The Unito tool is intended for the use of centered and eccentric tangential blades and is used for material thicknesses up to 5 mm.
The Elosto is dedicated to oscillating cutting and is available in two versions (the Elosto 5 for the use of oscillating blades with a thickness of 0.63 mm, and the Elosto 25 for a thickness of 1.5 mm).
The Creto the Creto 24 is designed for the attachment of a grooving wheel, which can be grooved in position or pressure mode. Three sizes are available: Creto 24 (for a grooving wheel of maximum diameter 24 mm), Creto 61 (61 mm) and Creto 150 (150 mm).
As for at the Perto it allows to fix the wheels to be perforated (eight wheels are available).
And the Drawto is used to mark and draw on various materials. It is particularly useful for creating templates in the textile and leather industry.
Three sizes of Q-Line cutting tables
At present, the Q-Line with BHS180 with a length of 3200 mm is available in three different widths: the Zünd Q 32-32 D cutter with a width of 3.2 m, the Zünd Q 22-32 D cutter with a width of 2.2 m and the Zünd Q 18-32 D cutter with a width of 1.8 m.
