The new version of Bobst's Expertcut 106 PER diecutter incorporates two technical features designed to optimize the precision, productivity and durability of converting processes. Together with the Accuplaten and the Power Register Plus, this autoplaten will significantly reduce set-up times and cardboard consumption in packaging production.
Up to 80% time savings with Accuplaten
The Accuplaten, available exclusively on new machines, reduces corrections due to plate deformation by up to 80%. This reduction in set-up time translates into increased machine availability and improved tooling durability.
For earlier-generation presses, the Swiss manufacturer offers the Zero Patching plate, which automatically adapts pressure to the specific characteristics of the machines, reducing rework times by 50-80%.
Reducing waste with Power Register Plus Plus
Since converters regularly suffer losses due to wasted board, particularly when preparing register marks, Bobst has also developed Power Register Plus, a new register mark recognition system that reduces the amount of board used for front register marks by up to 4 mm, thus cutting board costs by 0.5% per sheet. This improvement translates into savings of up to one tonne of cardboard per 1 million sheets.
By reducing the raw material consumption of folding cartons, Power Register Plus also contributes to the sustainability of production processes. At the same time, this technology simplifies waste management and reduces the effort required to dispose of it, making operations more environmentally friendly.
Increased output with 9âeuros500Â sheets per hour
The Expertcut 106 PER has also been designed to meet the growing productivity needs of printers and converters. With the optional integration of carbon-fiber gripper bars, the maximum production speed of the diecutting press increases to 9500 sheets per hour (compared to 9000 for the previous model).
Energy efficiency and sustainable development
Bobst also offers an energy efficiency package that combines several features: energy-saving air pumps, a kinetic energy recovery system and optimized air flow. This approach reduces electricity consumption to 4 kWh per 1 euro000 sheets (compared with 5 kWh previously).
The Expercut 106 PER is equipped with the Sphere HMI, which displays and manages in real time
bobst Connect provides real-time status updates on all production parameters, such as downtime monitoring and waste management, and is fully compatible with current and future Bobst Connect functionalities.
